You're Only ...

2 3/4 years old and we are already having conversations about your day at school.   I ask you if you had a good day at school.   You answer me with a resounding "yes!" and the biggest smile.  You tell me about what you did during circle time.    You tell me what you ate for snack time.   You tell me who you played with outside.    You tell me what today is ... "Today is Friday.".    You tell me who your teachers are.   You tell me all of this while you drink your apple juice in the back seat of the car.     I love it, I just love it when you tell me these things ... I love it so much ... I ask you to tell it to me again ... and you do.

You're Only ...

2 years going on 2 1/2 years old and you already know how to work the situation in your favor.    We were at Little Gym the other day for the armadillo's class and the armadillo was doing something he wasn't supposed to.    [Of course!].   He saw my reaction and knew that I was going to scold him.   Then he gave me the sweetest smile he's ever given.   Then he said ... "Hug", and gave me a hug.   Then came "Kiss" ... and I got a kiss.    Mama then got 3 hugs and 3 kisses.    Pretty soon I forgot what I was going to scold him for.   I couldn't believe it.   My son just tricked me.    He distracted my attention with his sweet affection and then went on his merry way.   Who knew that they could be so smooth at just 2 years old?
