Someone brought their germ purse into this house because everyone is sick with the exception of the armadillo. B-Dad and I have colds with a slight fever, and the poor sumo baby threw up yesterday. Not sure about the sumo baby though. He doesn't have a fever, just a slight running nose and some coughing. The armadillo is fine thank goodness. He is his usually high spirited self. Though I do feel for the armadillo. Because the rest of us are sick, the armadillo is couped up in this house with the rest of us.
Yesterday when I picked up the armadillo from school I knew straight away that he wanted to go to the park with his BFF. It's very difficult to try to tell a 3 year old that we have to go home because everyone else is sick. Like he really cares, right? Needless to say he wasn't a happy camper with my decision. But he quickly accepted his unfortunate situation and we came home.
Today we are hanging out at home once again. We all slept in and are now watching Pixar's greatest hits. For the armadillo of course. The sumo baby is doing something that he's never done before. He's actually sleeping ... in the living room. I think the last time he did this was when he was less than 3 months old. He's even sleeping while the rest of us are here watching the movie Cars. I'm starting to worry. We took his temperature and it was perfectly normal. Maybe it's just a phase. Maybe he's so tired and he doesn't care at this point where he is,so he decided that sleeping on the living room floor is okay with him.
But it's still weird for me. It's still strange behavior for the sumo baby and of course that worries me. Of course if I call the advice nurse they will probably put me on mute and laugh about my call. No fever, no throwing up, ... just a whole lot of nothing ... just a sleeping baby on the living room floor.
